Have you heard of Primavera Sound in Barcelona? Do you want to see one of the best independent music festivals ever?
The San Miguel Primavera Sound Festival starts next week in Barcelona and is waiting for you. Independent music artists get together in the greatest May event in Barcelona to entertain the audience and have fun. There will be groups belonging to different music genres: rock, pop, alternative, trance, dance, hip hop... Last year there were more than 100,000 visitors attending Primavera Sound and had the chance to see Pet Shop Boys, the Charlatans and Orbital, among others.
Primavera Sound takes place from Thursday 25 May to Sunday 29 May this year 2011.
Most concerts of Primavera Sound take place in el Parc del Forum (26-28 May), others in Poble Espanyol ( 25 and 29 May) and a few ones in other places in the city.
It's easy to get to Primavera Sound. The best way is by metro. Take the red line L1 or the green one L3 to Plaza Espanya if going to Poble Espanyol. Take the yellow line L4 to Maresme-Forum to get to the Parc del Forum.
Don't forget the metro opens at 5a.m. and closes and midnight on Thursday and Sunday, at 2a.m. on Friday and it works non-stop on Saturday night. If there's no metro, you can get a bus or a taxi.
Among over 200 artists coming this year to the festival, I could highlight Pulp and the Flaming Lips. But there are other worthy groups to listen to, enjoy and discover. Groups come from Spain, United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Germany, France...
There's a bonus of €175 for 5 days or you can pay €75 per day. Get tickets in advance or day-tickets the same day at the box office.
So, do you have any more questions? Are you attending the Primavera Sound in Barcelona?
